About Us
Who We Are
We are a Local Voluntary Organisation based in Bolton and providing a service across the Borough.
We link volunteers to pre-school children with special needs to offer one-to-one support within the child’s local pre-school provision.
The organisation has a Board of 6 Trustees who all have a wealth of experience of Early Years in the Bolton area.
We have 2 members of staff :
- Coordinator – Full time
- Administrator – Part time
Who recruit, check and train volunteers before linking them to a child within their local community, providing ongoing support during their time as a volunteer.
Special Needs children are referred to the scheme if it is felt that extra support would help them to integrate fully and benefit from the experiences offered with their local pre-school provision.
A Volunteer provides support to a child for one or two sessions per week during term time, a session being 2/3 hours.
The volunteer works under the direct supervision of the staff in settings.
